Linda Aman - Aman Arts Watercolor artist and Instructor www.amanarts.com

Linda and her husband, Rick recently moved to Idaho from Oregon.

She is an active member in the Idaho Watercolor Society, Nampa Art Guild, Watercolor Society of Oregon, Oregon Society of Artists and other professional art groups.

Linda has won numerous awards in the northwest for her watercolors and recently received an award from the Idaho Watercolor Society for her painting “Fire and Ice”, which is on tour throughout Idaho until the end of the year.

Linda teaches watercolor classes in her studio in Star, for the College of Western Idaho and with other art organizations. She continues to teach workshops in Oregon and Washington.

Linda’s watercolors illuminate flowers and other subjects from photographs taken in the spring and summer using exciting lines, shapes and colors. She paints with emotion in an interpretive style, rather than photographic depiction. Linda anticipates the manner in which water and pigment flow across the paper in expected and unexpected fashions, creating a look that emanates only from watercolor.

Linda loves to teach watercolor as much as she loves to paint. Her students gain inner satisfaction of painting and creating an original of their own. Many of her students have become professional artists and several have received recognitions for their work.

Linda presents her work in a variety of venues. Her work adorns exhibits in galleries, corporate offices and private homes. For more presentations of her work or additional information on her classes

  • To serve as a bridge between artists, collectors and the public.

  • To host an annual open studios event for the public, including an opening reception at a central gallery location and a weekend-long opportunity to visit specific artist members’ studios.

  • To establish a forum for open discussion among artists, art organizations and the general public residing in the Boise area.
